What's new this month? 🚀

• Updates to the Workbench CLI tool

  Settings cleanup: The deprecated coveredPeople and coveredItems settings have been updated in the Workbench CLI tool. If your product module has these settings enabled, it is recommended that you pull before your next push to avoid overwriting them. For more information, see the Workbench guides.

• Updates to the refund cap and total premium validation

  We have removed the refund cap for creating refund payments and implemented a new total premium collected validation.
  With these changes, you can now refund your policyholders up to the total amount of premium paid for their policy, without any limitations on the amount that can be refunded.

• Updated navigation on the Root Dashboard

  We've made some modifications to the navigation on Dashboard to improve your experience. You'll find a new Data Management tab that houses everything related to data and insights on Root. Consequently, we've made slight changes to the Workbench, Organisation, and Settings tabs to align with the addition of the Data Management tab. • Notification webhooks and platform endpoint updates

  • New webhook subscription: notification_created has been added, and will be triggered when a new notification is created. This means you can build your own integration with providers of your choice. Read the docs for more information.
  • New webhook subscription: policy_not_taken_up has been added, and will fire when a policy is marked as Not Taken Up. Take a look at the updated documentation on the webhook object and webhooks overview.

• Updates to the Embed | Sales add-on

  We made new improvements to the Embed | Sales add-on:
  • Support URL: Embed | Sales now includes an optional Support URL in the quote flow. This feature enables your customers to access your help page quickly and easily, should they have questions.
  • QR code: You can now generate a QR code for the Embed URL to easily direct your customers to your quote flow.

• New login page design

  We've given our login page a fresh look and feel to better represent the Root brand. You may have already noticed the changes, and we hope you love the new design as much as we do.

• Introducing a new onboarding flow

  When logging into Root for the first time, you will be greeted by an onboarding model. This modal will guide you through Dashboard based on the job that you need to complete. This new feature will help new users get started with Root faster than before. Take a look at the image below see the start of the new onboarding flow:
